Rehan Seerat did his LLB from Islamabad School of Law in 2007 and is the founding partner of Seerat Law Associates. He has worked with senior lawyers such as Dr. Abdul Basit, Muneeb Zia and Babar Sattar. He has also worked with the World Bank.

His expertise is in constitutional, company, banking, regulatory issues, intellectual property, and civil law. He was the youngest Additional Legal Advisor for CDA in the organization’s history.

Nashmia Minto graduated from Islamabad School of Law in 2013 and is a corporate lawyer, currently working in KMPG Lower Gulf, UAE.

Being an Islamabad School of Law Alumni, commonly known as ISL, I would like to say that it was my experience at ISL which shaped me into who I am now. My teachers or rather mentors have always been my support system, not only during my time at ISL but also after that. They were always a call or a message away.

I would like to pass on a message to all you aspiring lawyers that law is not a field, but a fraternity, we are all one big family and to nurture us in our early years we need the best support. So if you want to be a lawyer, I would highly recommend ISL, because in my career of last 7 years in the UAE, the thing that helped me the most was not only what I studied in the classroom, but also the mentoring I got from Sir Qasim, Sir Sami, Ma’am Tehmina, Sir Mutalib and all those who were there with me in my early days of learning.

Ehsaan Ali Qazi completed his LLB (Honours) through the University of Wolverhampton (Distance Learning Programme) at the Islamabad School of Law (ISL). He studied at ISL from 2000 to 2004.

Ehsaan proceeded to the Inns of Court School of Law (City University) for the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC). On successfully completing the BPTC, Ehsaan joined Basir Law Associates where he practiced civil and criminal litigation. Subsequently, Ehsaan joined Ajuris, Advocates and Corporate Counsel, where he advised on commercial transactions, and represented clients in arbitrations and litigation.

In August 2010, Ehsaan co-founded Mumtaz & Brohi, Barristers and Corporate Counsel, where his areas of practice range from civil litigation, arbitrations and commercial transactions. Ehsaan provides corporate advisory and commercial consultancy services to tech-based start-ups and clients related to the construction industry.

Umar Shahid did his LLB (Honours) through the University of London (External Programme) at Islamabad School of Law from 2003-2006. He then qualified as a Barrister in 2007 and completed his LLM in International Commercial Arbitration from City University, London.

Thereafter, he worked in London for two years at a boutique law firm specializing in commercial arbitration and international securities. Upon his return to Pakistan in 2009, he joined a Band-1 Corporate Law Firm.

Having worked at one of Pakistan’s largest corporate law firms for over 10 years, Umar specializes in large scale, high value, corporate commercial matters, with an emphasis on the power and energy sector.

Barrister Afzal Hussain has been a student at Islamabad School of Law, completing his LLB (Hons) degree in 2006. In 2007, he completed his Bar Vocational Course from Cardiff University. He practises as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

He has taught at prestigious institutions such as NUST Business School. From 2018-2019, he taught Constitutional Law at the Secretariat Training Institute, Government of Pakistan. He has the rare honour of representing the Republic of Tajikistan as its sole defense counsel before the Islamabad High Court (PLD 2015 Islamabad 13 & 2015 CLD Islamabad 8).

He has also been counsel of several national and international clients and is an established columnist & media analyst.

Nabeel Rehman was a student of Islamabad School of Law (ISL) from 2006-2009. Currently, Nabeel Rehman is a partner & Head of Corporate & Commercial Department at ANZ Partners, with offices in Pakistan, Canada and UK.  He focuses his practice on corporate and commercial litigation

Rehman has handled legal matters of several well-known international and local companies/entities and embassies such as UNHCR and the EU Delegation to Pakistan. He has so far has been counsel in more than 200 cases in High Court.

He was also nominated by UNHCR for ‘Young Outstanding Lawyer Award, 2018’ by International Bar Association (IBA) – the only Pakistani shortlisted among finalists from all over the world. He has been recognized as a Tier 2 Lawyer by Legal500 (UK) for Employment & Labor Law (Pakistan Chapter 2020) and has been featured by Global Legal Group (UK) as Employment and Labor Law expert for Pakistan 2020.

Suleman graduated with a LL.B (Hons) upper division from the Islamabad School of Law in 2002. During his final year of law, he joined Amhurst Brown (Islamabad) as an intern, eventually progressing to senior associate. In 2004, Suleman proceeded to the Inns of Court School of Law, London to undertake the Bar Vocational Course. 

Suleman graduated from the London School of Economics with a LL.M in International Business Law in 2010 and is the founding Partner of Khan & Muezzin – Barristers. Aside from rendering legal services in both contentious and non-contentious areas of legal practice, Suleman takes great interest in family and commercial mediation. 

He also has a keen interest in the study of national and international legal and policy issues, especially in the context of Islamic Jurisprudence. He has remained a visiting lecturer at a number of institutions, including the Islamabad School of Law.

Aimal joined Islamabad School of Law in 2006 towards completing the final year of LLB (Hons). He graduated in 2007, and pursued the Bar Vocational Course at Cardiff University. He was admitted into the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in the same year. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008.

Aimal joined ABS & Co. in 2009, Awan Raza as an Associate in 2010, and by 2015 was an Associate Partner of the same firm. He is currently a Partner of Awan Raza’s successor firm, Raza Khalil Abbasi Hafeez Suhrawardi. 

Aimal’s diverse litigation and advisory practice includes telecommunication law and regulatory disputes, international arbitration under the ICC International Court of Arbitration, defamation and media, company matters involving publicly listed companies, and other practice areas with a core emphasis on commercial litigation. 

Zunaira graduated from the Islamabad School of Law in 2005 with an LLB (Hons). Thereafter she went on to pursue the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law (now City University) and was later called to the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn. 

Upon completion of her education she has pursued a career mainly in (but not limited to) litigation. The tone of her career as a litigator was set during her time as an apprentice of Mian Ishtiaq a renowned civil litigation lawyer in Islamabad. After a year of exclusively practicing in the District & Sessions Court of Islamabad she went on to join Hassan Kaunain Nafees where her work comprised of both litigation and corporate law. 

Since 2010 she has been working as an associate at the chamber of Aitzaz Ahsan & Associates.
