Umar Shahid did his LLB (Honours) through the University of London (External Programme) at Islamabad School of Law from 2003-2006. He then qualified as a Barrister in 2007 and completed his LLM in International Commercial Arbitration from City University, London.

Thereafter, he worked in London for two years at a boutique law firm specializing in commercial arbitration and international securities. Upon his return to Pakistan in 2009, he joined a Band-1 Corporate Law Firm.

Having worked at one of Pakistan’s largest corporate law firms for over 10 years, Umar specializes in large scale, high value, corporate commercial matters, with an emphasis on the power and energy sector.
